Lara Queck
About Me
I am a graduate of the Masters of Microbial Biotechnology program at NC State University. This program blended my science background with the business side of the biotechnology industry. With its close proximity to the Research Triangle Park, I am able to collaborate with biotech companies on projects that benefit the local and global biotech industry.
I am completing my MBA at the NC State Jenkins School of Business during the 2021-22 academic year, with a concentration in biosciences management as well as technology, entrepreneurship, and commercialization (TEC). This degree will prepare me to hold a business development or innovation role at a biotechnology-based company.
Career Goals
My goals have changed over the course of my time in the MMB program, the BTEC Upstream Biomanufacturing program, various MBA courses, and multiple internships. I have developed many skills that are applicable to different potential roles within a biotech company. After completing my MBA in 2022, I hope to join a biotech company in a business development or commercialization role. I have enjoyed my experience with the product development process, and hope to continue down that route.
